God seemed to lead Holly to the practice of law. She feels more fulfilled by helping clients as a lawyer than she can imagine in any other walk of life. She loved mathematics in high school, and majored in Computer Science in college, but she has always loved people. Her love of order was a good fit with her love of people and gives her a unique skill blend to help apply the law to find solutions to people’s problems. She gravitated to the kind of law that helps people when they are hurting: family law, bankruptcy law, accident cases, wrongful death mattes, and wills and trusts. Since she has three adopted children, she loves that area of law as well, of course. For Holly, helping people as a lawyer in family, bankruptcy, personal injury, accident, estate planning, and adoption law gives great joy since it allows her to help people succeed through difficult times and get their dignity back.

Trey began his career as a lawyer at our firm in 2001, and his practice has always focused on bankruptcy. He likes the fact that bankruptcy, more than many other practice areas, is driven by legal rather than factual disputes. When you ask Trey what he likes about his work as an attorney, his answer is quick and pointed: he gets to help people improve their lives. There are many complex situations that can arise during a bankruptcy case. Trey enjoys working with his clients to resolve those situations as quickly as possible. The law becomes a tool that helps him craft strategies to help his clients begin a fresh start to their financial lives.

Law was a natural fit for Steve’s competitive nature. He likes to win, he likes structure, and he believes in the system. His practice began in Little Rock in the early 90’s and over his 15 years there, he steadily gravitated to more and more family law. When the chance came to relocate to Northwest Arkansas in the fall of 2007, his wife, June, and his children, Alex and Emily, helped him close his private practice and he moved into our family law division, focusing exclusively on helping families in this difficult area.

After a career in computer programming for a large retailer, and with her own children grown, Shea seized the opportunity to pursue a lifelong dream and enrolled in law school. Upon her graduation, she completed a year of service as an AmeriCorps attorney, providing civil legal representation to veterans and their families. That led to a legal fellowship sponsored by Equal Justice Works with an emphasis on removing barriers to employment. She joined our team in the spring of 2016 and has found that her work to help families also gives her an avenue to serve her community, something Shea is passionate about.

Scott came to practice law later in life than most. After spending many years in management roles, he decided to do what he had always planned to do as a child and go back to school to become an attorney. Admitted to the Bar in 2011, Scott worked primarily as a solo practitioner handling a wide range of cases before joining our firm in 2016. He has handled hundreds of disability cases before the Social Security Administration. Scott takes a lot of satisfaction in helping people when they are in difficult spots in their life and he finds that his focus on bankruptcy and personal injury cases gives him the perfect chance to make a difference.
